ReplyDeleteI know everyone is familiar with the song “Stars Fell on Alabama”. A little town locally known as “Slapout” (but its real name is Holtville) a few miles north-northwest of Wetumpka has a slogan of “Slapout - Where the stars fell on Alalabama” or something like that. But a star, an asteroid, or something huge from outer space actually did hit the earth millions of years ago between what is now downtown Wetumpka and where I live just a few miles southeast of the town.
